These last few weeks have been a very strange time in my life. My decisions have always been purposeful when the decisions are life changing. I have made some poor decisions recently. None of which I regret. But the fact that I do not regret them doesn't make them right. I feel like I need to regress in order for me to grow personally. Of course, I'm talking about the end of my romantic relationship with katie. I don't feel like I've made any enemies out of this situation, but I know that things are weird within my own circle of friends. Katie needs and deserves the love and support of her friends. I'm slowly making my way around to the mutual friends that Katie and I share, in order to make my apologies and try to deal with the ominous karma that is headed in my direction. I can feel it coming. I'm just trying to manifest it into less of a beast. I'll be writing more about this soon. I feel like writing is helping me deal with things.

If anyone involved is reading this, I apologize to you for making things so weird.

finally rode the velodream!

After a few failed attempts to make it to the Brian Piccolo Velodrome in south Florida, we finally made it, with a few setbacks in the beginning. Tuesdays visit was halted by my ignorance to check the hours of operation for days that they were closed. They happen to be closed every Tuesday, with a few exceptions. Todays (Wednesday) visit was almost stopped at the gate because we didn't bring helmets with us, like a bunch of dummies. I got mad at the situation, and then at myself for overlooking such an obvious detail. Made a quick run to the local super target. Bought some crappy helmets and I was on my way to busting my velocherry wide-the-fuck-open. What a sweet ass time I had. Although, I definitely should have switched out of the ol' trick riding ratio. 40/16

This NYC based street artist uses only a razor to do his work. He cuts pieces out of existing subway posters and transforms them into original art. Fuck yes. What a smart guy.

We just got back from Pembrooke Pines, FL where we were spending christmas with her grandfather. I also had a chance to try and go to the brian piccolo outdoor velodrome. Unfortunately, this chance came on christmas day. We arrived at the park only to be greeted by a very large [PARK CLOSED] sign. My lover and I were both cussing up a storm. This was a boner jam, a huge one. We will be returning in January to use the velodrome.

On the phone today, grandpa bob called it the roller-dome. we lulz'd.

new hub for me?

the track side of my flip flop hub is stripped smooth. what a boner jam. Right now my bike is kind of ghetto rigged to work. I've got my cog on the freewheel side with a bb lockring. Hopefully it will hold up until I can get a brand spanking new hub. I am planning on upgrading, so there is definitely a product review coming in the near future. I'm not sure if i will be shooting super high for a phil or a profile hub, but anything is possible i guess. All i have to do now is wait for some money to pile up so i can get something.

The very first issue of Jelly magazine is still in the works. It will be a monthly, maybe bi-weekly, flash-based online magazine about art, culture, cycling, fashion, partying, and whatever else comes to mind. Hopefully in the next two weeks it will be ready. The content is there, but the layout and back end script still needs to be organized. In the meantime, check outwww.makr.com for some amazing leather and fabric goods.
